et135sm.jpg (2917 bytes) ET135-On this Scottish-Jewish theme postcard the 'humor' of card is in the caption: The Sergeant-Major (meeting new recruit): "I've seen Hielanders frae Glesga, I've seen Hielanders frae England, I've seen Hielanders frae Cork, but haggis me, this is the first time I've seen a Hielander frae Jee-rusalem!"  Published by Bamforth.  Un, EX

et137sm.jpg (2772 bytes) ET137-This is not a postcard but an interesting early piece of Black American ephemera.  On one side two Black children on cellar door are above the caption "United we stand."   In the next image a man opens the door and the two children fall off above the phrase "divided we fall." Card was originally glued down so there are large areas of paper adhering to back but due to sturdiness of paper the front of card is fine.   Card measures 4 1/4 by 2 3/4 inches and seems to have been trimmed.  G+
